Dr. Ali Hazrati

  Dr. Adam Schofield is a highly skilled upper gastrointestinal surgeon specializing in bariatric (weight loss), anti-reflux, and general surgery. With advanced fellowship training and extensive experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques, he is recognized as a leader in metabolic and bariatric surgery in Western Canada.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Calgary, Dr. Schofield completed his General Surgery residency in Calgary, where he developed a strong interest in upper gastrointestinal surgery, including bariatrics, anti-reflux procedures, and esophagogastric diseases. He subsequently pursued a two-year subspecialty fellowship in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia, training alongside internationally recognized experts in the field. During this time, he also completed a Master of Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Adelaide.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Schofield returned to Alberta and joined the Central Alberta Bariatric Specialty Clinic, where he has become a leading provider of the Single Anastomosis Duodeno-Ileal Bypass with Sleeve Gastrectomy (SADI-S), one of the most advanced metabolic surgery procedures available today.

Dr. Schofield’s expertise, leadership, and commitment to patient care led to his appointment as Surgical Director of Windflower Bariatrics, where he has become one of the highest-volume private bariatric surgeons in Western Canada.

With extensive experience in complex upper gastrointestinal and revisional bariatric surgery, Dr. Schofield is dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical care and long-term outcomes.
